Liebe Eltern, dear parents and guardians,

The grade 5/6 camp has been a full success!  One student went home sick and her parents came to pick her up. But everyone else stayed for the full 3 days. New friendships were formed and the relationship with teachers deepened. My own sons have gone on this field trip (and the WestCoast Trail field trip in a higher grade). They still talk about what they learned during those days. Three days without ANY technology must have been hard and must have felt strange – in the beginning. I am sure that they adjusted quickly and enjoyed their time in nature: walking, exploring, learning about their surroundings. They all looked tired but happy when they returned Wednesday afternoon. Many of them said: “We would have liked to stay longer!” A huge THANK YOU to the teachers for organizing this amazing experience for the students! The amount of paperwork it takes to go for 3 days and 2 nights is incredible. Some of our parents also went to camp for the 3 days as chaperones! Thank you so much! I hope you had fun too!

Two more PATs next week and the grade 6 students are finished with exams!

It is tick season! Please make sure to check your child/ren each day whether or not they have one. We have had one family find one on their child already!.

This week has been extra busy in the office. We have been interviewing morning, day and night to find the perfect candidates for our open teacher positions. Stay tuned as staffing rounds happen. We hope to have all new staff in place by the end of June. 

We are excited to share that we have 2 new teachers hired at this point: Herr Tristen Hansen for the German program and Ms. Sonia Oppenheim for music and, no, she does not speak German, despite her very German last name.
