No school tomorrow! (May 15)

Wasn’t the spring concert simply amazing?!

I hope you all enjoyed the varied performances of all the students. It is incredible how much the students have learned in the three years of working with Ms. Hou. Sadly, Ms. Hou is returning to Ontario with her husband to be close to family again. This is a tremendous loss for our school, and we are so sad to see her go. At the same time, we are grateful for the time Ms. Hou spent at Bowcroft School. We wish her all the best in the adventures that lie ahead of her.

A big Thank You to Frau Hauk’s grade 6 students who helped with transitioning the musical instruments and who went to get the classes in line for their turn at the performance.

Thank you to Kids Come First for allowing us to set up the chairs in the gym during their time and for helping set up the chairs. The gym was filled with parents and grandparents.

Thank you for coming and taking an active interest in your child’s learning. The first thing children do during a concert is to look for THEIR ADULT. Thank you for making them feel loved and important.

Thank you to all the parents and students who spent some of their Saturday last week on cleaning up the garden as well as helping with the bottle drive for the grade 5/6 classes. The garden looks amazing! The second bottle drive raised about $700. This will pay for approx. 2 students. We are getting there!
