Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership in their learning journey, which makes it possible for them to flourish both academically and personally.
Working Together to Keep Our Students Safe Online
Together, we have the power to guide children toward safe, respectful, and responsible online behaviour. As parents, you play the most important role in shaping your child’s digital habits.
While our school addresses incidents that occur during school hours, we are increasingly seeing the impact of online interactions that happen outside of school. These can include cyberbullying, which can have serious emotional and academic consequences for all involved.
We ask for your partnership in monitoring your child’s online presence, discussing appropriate behaviour, and setting clear expectations for respectful communication. Together, we can help ensure a safe and supportive environment for every student.
School Fees
School fees – please log into your MyCBE account and check what you owe for lunch supervision fees etc. Paying a little bit at a time may help – always choosing to pay the oldest items first. If you have any questions, please speak with Ms. Corey.
Parent Council
The June BPAC meeting is changed to Monday, June 1, instead of Tuesday, June 2.
Movie Night
AGEC's next event - our Movie Night on Saturday. May 2, is fast approaching and we hope to see many of you there and share some laughters with you. We will screen the German comedy "Wunderschoener" in the Globe cinema. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM.
The film is in German with English subtitles and entry is free.
Butterfield Acres
You may have heard it in the news: Butterfield Acres has a cryptosporidium outbreak. Some of our classes were scheduled to go on a field trip there. Out of an abundance of caution, the CBE is cancelling all trips to this destination as long as the Health Alert is in place from Alberta Health Services. We have taken into consideration the age of students who go on this trip and that spread occurs when someone comes into contact with infected feces and then touches their mouth, usually with unwashed hands. Once the alert is lifted, the CBE will connect with this service provider and once again evaluate the situation to determine if trips can proceed. We thank all volunteers who had taken time off work to go along on this fun field trip.
