Dear Bowcroft Families,

I hope this message finds you well as we head into the final stretch of April. I have a few important updates to share with you this week.

First, I want to let you know that Meike Thomsen will be returning to her role as Principal on Monday, April 28. We will spend that day together to help facilitate a smooth transition. This day will also mark the end of my time as Acting Principal. It has been a true privilege to serve this school during Meike’s absence. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know our students, families, and staff, and I’m deeply grateful for the warmth and support I’ve received from this incredible school community.

A quick reminder about parking and drop-off: for safety reasons, we kindly ask that families do not park or use the staff parking lot. Please park in front of the school property (west of the parking lot) and use the sidewalk to access the building. Your cooperation helps keep our students safe.

And finally—don’t forget that Photo Day is coming up on Friday, April 25! We’re looking forward to capturing some big smiles and great memories.

Attention all Grade 6 Parents!

If you are designated to attend TBR next year, we would like to invite you to attend our Grade 7 Open House at Thomas B. Riley School on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 6:00pm-7:30pm. This is open to all students who will be new to our school next year including all incoming Grade 7s and their families. We will hold a formal presentation from our Grade 7 teachers followed by a school tour. Please save the date! 

If your child is attending TBR next year, please use the form below to choose their options. We particularly need to know whether they are interested in Band for next year as this will impact their schedule. 

In addition, if you have applied to another school/program/private school for Grade 7 and may not or will not attend TBR next year we also need this information in order to designate your student correctly. Please also fill out the form in this case. This is critical information to ensure we have the correct number of staff planned for Grade 7 next year for all programs (regular and TLC).
