Lunchroom
The new lunchroom routine is working well! Having five mindful minutes of simply eating in a quiet classroom has resulted in more students finishing their lunches. After the first five minutes are over, students are allowed to chat and eat. No movies are shown any longer. I hope your child is finding this new routine helpful!

School Fees
Lots of them are outstanding, especially in the grade 5/6 classes that are going on a 3 day field trip that includes 2 nights away from home. Please log into your student fees account and pay asap! The CBE does send unpaid fees to collection. At that point, the school cannot help any longer – at all! My advice: Always pay your oldest outstanding fees FIRST!
Grade 6 Farewell
The grade 6 team has decided to have the grade 6 Farewell on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 2:30pm. Please mark your calendars!

Volunteer Tea
Schools can’t run without their volunteers. Thank you to all the parents who have come to help with field trips, in classrooms, in the library, with BPAC, the garden etc. Without our volunteers and their many efforts, Bowcroft school would not be the amazing place it is. To celebrate our volunteers, our annual VOLUNTEER TEA is scheduled for Friday, May 29 from 11:30 to 12:30pm.
Casino - Volunteers Needed
Talking about volunteers… BPAC still needs more to fill all the spots at the shortly upcoming CASINO, their single biggest fundraiser (think $70 to $80,000!):

Thursday, May, 21
- Thursday daytime (11am-7:30pm) - 3 on call volunteers open
- Thursday evening (7pm-3:30am) - 5 open spots
- Thursday late night (11:15pm-3:30am) - 8 open spots
Friday, May 22
- Friday daytime - 3 on call volunteers open
- Friday evening - 5 open spots
- Friday late night - 3 on call volunteers open
