Dear Parents and Guardians,

This year’s Grade 3–6 Floor Hockey League has started off amazingly!

Mr. Benty, Frau Schafer, and Ms. Buckner have generously given up their lunch breaks to run the league. They’ve shared that they truly enjoy it because it means so much to the students and helps build a stronger school community.

The hockey has been incredibly exciting and competitive so far. All three games played have been decided either by a last-minute goal or in a shootout!

Ask your child if they’re playing on a team, cheering as a fan or helping out as a referee. And if you’re looking for a fun stocking stuffer this year, mini hockey sticks might be a great option so they can practice at home.

Good luck to all the teams this season!
Grade 2 Floor Hockey practices with Mr. Benty will also be starting soon—stay tuned.

Dance Residency: A message from Mr. Martin

Mr. Martin is asking that no shorts or baggy sweat pants are worn at the evening performance, we are aiming for a festive look. If possible, black bottom (pants) and a red or green top would be wonderful. If the leaders could wear a tie or bowtie, that would complete a professional look (only if possible!)

Date Change

May 14: Spring Concert during the school day: German program in AM and Community program in the PM. The spring concert will be a week EARLIER as the casino from BPAC is running on May 21 and 22. Please mark all 3 dates in your calendar!

Thank you to all parents and guardians who took the time to attend parent-teacher conferences. Working collaboratively with the teacher ensures the best outcomes for the student. Thank you for being so vested in your child’s education!

We hope to see you again on either December 9 for the community winter celebration or December 10, for the German winter celebration.  Ms. Hou’s choir will be performing at the beginning of each evening. So if your child is in choir, please plan on being at school from 5:45 to 6:15pm each night. They perform first, so that the students (who are not dancing that evening) and Ms. Hou can go home right after.

 Warm Regards,

Meike Thomsen, principal/Schulleiterin
