Dear Parents and Guardians,
On Friday, at 12:15pm, your child met our Classroom Champion Olympian Hallie Clarke in a life session on ZOOM. Please ask your child what they thought about meeting Hallie!
We are looking forward to welcoming all parents and family members from the English community program on TUESDAY, December 9, at 6:00PM to our winter celebration and our German program students and families on WEDNESDAY, December 10, also at 6:00PM.
No Food nor Drinks in the gym, so, please do leave them at home or in the car. When you arrive, your child will go to their homeroom and their homeroom teacher. You will go and find a spot in the gym. Your child will be supervised by their teacher. When it is their time to perform, the teacher will bring them down in the hallway. After their performance, the teacher will take them back to their class, so you can enjoy the rest of the performance. After the performance ends, please go to the classroom and pick up your child from there. If you have multiple students, I suggest that the parents go and pick up their YOUNGEST child first and then pick up the older students. The doors open at 5:45pm, not before.
Two of our students won awards for the Remembrance Day Contest of poetry and posters. Congratulations to Ben T, grade 4 and Hannah J, grade 6 of the German program. The successful poem and poster are now entering the national competition! We are all very excited to see how they are going to do there!

BPAC: We had a very successful Book Fair!
Total Sales - $6,569.42
Total Scholastic Dollars raised - $3,120.48
This money goes directly back into our library and classrooms, in forms of books, as well as classroom supplies.
Ms. Moya shopped the shelves and is adding $428 in (the most current popular) books to our library shelves before Christmas. Each teacher received two or three books, from their classroom wish list!
Our next Book Fair will be March 18, 19, 20, 2026.
New, colorful signage is up on our fence! Welcome and WILLKOMMEN! Thank you to Brit Hart who lead this initiative and, due to the strike, painted all the signs herself. What a huge job. Danke!
Late French Immersion, which starts in grade 7 (and for most of our students, they would go to Branton JH) is always a fantastic option for students who leave at the end of grade 6. Having French brings scholarship opportunities, work opportunities and academic challenges for students who thrive on learning enrichment. Please view the attached invitation for their Open House. The grade 6 students will enjoy a presentation about the program on January 15, 2026 at 9:30am.
Warm Regards,
Meike Thomsen, Principal/Schulleiterin
