Feb. 12-16 | School Council, Scents, Carnival
Liebe Eltern, dear parents and guardians,
Teachers' Convention is upon us, which means that next week is a really short week (Monday - Wednesday). The following Monday is Family Day, so no school either.
Our next BPAC meeting is on Monday evening at 6:30pm, January 12, 2024. We hope to see you there. I will be presenting our Annual Budget and SDP presentation. So if you want to know how much money it takes to run Bowcroft School - then come and join us.
BPAC is also looking for some interested parents to join school council. Two of them will be 'retiring' from BPAC in 18 months. Their hope is that a new person will step forward, shadow them for a year and then be ready to take over their roles. Again, if this interests you, please come. The school council at Bowcroft ensures that fundraising is done - and this fundraising pays for all the residencies your child/ren is/are enjoying.
Scents: Bowcroft has staff members who are highly allergic towards scents. Bowcroft School is a scent free building. We have some older girls who started to bring in scents. Please have a conversation with your child about this topic and that all items that would spread a scent through the school need to stay home. Girls should also not use strongly scented products either. Rule of thumb: If I stand 1 meter away from you and can smell our scented products, then it is too strong.
AGEC's children's carnival is fast approaching and we hope to see many of you in your favourite costumes - on Saturday, February 10, from 2-5 pm in the Montgomery Community Center. To make this event a success we need more cake donations and it would be great if we could also get a few more volunteers that can help setting up and decorating the hall as well as with cleaning up afterwards. If you can't help for the whole shift setting or cleaning up it doesn't matter. Just send a quick message to volunteer.agec@gmail.com. Every help is appreciated and goes a long way.
Have a look at sign up sheet using link below and please sign up for a job:

Thank you so much. Without your help this event can't be successful.
Best regards,
Alexandra Hebib, Vice President
