Dear Parents & Guardians

It’s hard to believe that June is just around the corner now. Three more weeks until the longest day of the year! All teachers will be celebrating summer solstice in their own unique way.

Most of our schools have participated in their week long Open Minds field trip at this point in time. The assembly on Thursday had many students come to the front to share with the audience what they had learned during their week and what they had liked. Great reflections!

The first PAT was written by all Grade 6 students on Wednesday. While faced with an initial tech challenge, everything was sorted and all students completed their exams.

The school garden needs your help! While teachers and students (and parents on a prior weekend) have worked hard, there is still more to be done.

Next week Tuesday, June 2, from 4-5 pm is a garden work day – come and join us to do some weeding and planting of flowers/thyme. Many hands make for light work. Even if you only help for 30 minutes with your child after or before you pick them up from daycare!

Warm regards,

Meike Thomsen, Principal
