Liebe Eltern, dear parents and guardians,

Our Grade 6 students bravely made it through the first round of vaccinations on Thursday, October 12.

This Friday morning, students have worked with the Elder Saa’kokoto and story telling. Please ask your child about their story! Saa’kokoto will teach the teachers how to smudge in the afternoon in our outdoor learning space.

Next week will also see our students learn and/or improve on their hoop dancing skills.  Jackie Soppit is back to teach this unique skill. A fun fact about Jackie: Her dad is German, and she speaks German!

Thursday night, October 19, we will have our FAMILY MATH GAME night from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Please join us!

Breakfast Club: starts at 8:45am, not before

Students should not be arriving at 8:20am. There is no supervision at that time. Supervision starts at 8:45am.

If you wonder why there are so many more than expected registrations in schools, here is why. The number of students processed by the CBE Welcome Centre for students born outside of Canada and now starting school in the CBE is huge. This is just for the past three months! Almost 5,600!!!
